Offshore Production Platform, Canyon Station/Canyon
Express Project - Gulf of Mexico, U.S.A.
o Design of an offshore production platform in 300 feet of
water in the US Gulf of Mexico for the production of 500
million standard cubic feet per day of gas and 3700 BLPD.
o This first in its kind facility is employed in the production of
sub-sea wells located in 6,000 feet of water depth. The
wells, which are spread among three formations and located
approximately 43 miles from the platform, are remotely
controlled from the platform via the use of two umbilical
lines.
o The production at the wells is transported to the platform via
two (2) 12" Flowlines each rated for 6,625 psig.
o Oil Treating System for emulsion treatment and oil
stabilization.
o Gas Dehydration System utilizing TEG for reducing water
content to 7 lbs/MMSCF.
o On-board Methanol Distillation (fractionation) System for
processing 3500 BPD water/methanol blend. This is the first
offshore facility in the Gulf of Mexico to be fitted with a
methanol distillation system.
o Methanol and Chemicals (Paraffin, Corrosion and Scale
inhibitor) Injection at the wells at 7,500 psig Three (3)
Electric Power Generators, each with a 1000 kW capacity.
o Two (2) Solar Gas Turbine (Taurus 60, 7150 HP each)
driven Centrifugal Gas Compressors.
o Process heating utilizing mineral based Heat Medium agent.
o Gas and oil sales metering station. Gas metering is
performed using both orifice type and ultrasonic meters.
This is the first facility in the Gulf of Mexico to receive
approval by the Minerals Management Services for use of
ultrasonic meters.
o Emergency Flaring System with a 250 mmscfd capacity.
o Three (3) gas and one (1) oil transportation pipelines to on-
shore facilities.

Offshore Production Platform, Gulf of Mexico (Viosca
Knoll), U.S.A.
o Design of an 80ft x 90ft 4-pile offshore production platform
in the Gulf of Mexico in 140 ft of water for the production
of 60 MMSCFD million standard cubic feet per day of
natural gas and 8,000 BCPD.
o The platform is furnished with sour gas treating equipment
using two 108" O.D. x 22 feet sulftreat towers.
o Other equipment includes compressor, dehydration and gas cooler.

Due Diligence, East Bay - Gulf of Mexico, U.S.A.
o Due diligence of 26 platforms and more that 1800 drilled
wells (374 active).
o 48 sq miles area, 671 mmbls and 1250 bcp.
o Productive depths 1,000 to 14,000 feet.
o On land facilities including storage, compression stations,
water processing plant, water injection, gas dehydration and
quarters for more than 100 personnel.
